Chateau CharMarron Peony Gardens is located in San Jose within the San Francisco Bay Area, high above Milpitas overlooking the Calaveras Reservoir.

We have more than 200 peony varieties under cultivation. Our bloom season begins in early April with tree peonies and continues from late April through early June with our herbaceous peonies. During April, May and June 1-26, garden visits are welcomed everyday: open 9am-6pm except Wednesday open 8am-10am.We are also available other times  of the year by appointment or if you are feeling lucky just drop by as we are working in the gardens throughout the year. Bare root shipping is only available from Aug 15 - Dec 31. Potted plants are available all year at our gardens. Please contact us for an appointment or variety availability or map & directions. Our Peony Garden

We began as a tall bearded iris grower but because of the great interest that our visitors had in our collection of herbaceous peonies, in 2002 we began offering herbaceous peonies too. The demand for our new nursery products increased and in 2006 we started to import tree peonies from China to the delight of our many customers. Now with 200 varieties of herbaceous and tree peonies growing, we offer mature 3-9 eye divisions of herbaceous peonies in 5 gal. containers and 2-4 year tree peonies any time of the year at the garden or for shipping bare root only in the fall.  We provide cut-your-own fresh flowers here at the garden only during our peak bloom season in May. It is quite spectacular when our garden is in bloom with over 1000 peony plants.
